Stefan Lessmann is a PhD candidate at Yale’s Department of Comparative Literature and works on German and Latin American literatures and cultures. His dissertation “Adventure Time: Narrating Sexual Dissidence” reconceives proto-queer identities through notions of the adventure. He is affiliated with Yale’s Council for European Studies and the Council for Latin American and Iberian Studies and obtained an MA and a BA in Comparative Literature and Philosophy from the University of Vienna, Austria.
Stefan Lessmann has received a grant from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to participate as a guest researcher at the “Philology of the Adventure” research unit in June 2024.
